VERBAL AND NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION WITH PATIENTS KNOW-HOW

SUMMARY
The most
effective counselors are the ones whose nonverbal messages are congruent with
their verbal messages. Recent literature suggests that nonverbal immediacy
behaviors on the part of pharmacists, physicians and other healthcare providers
are very much related to patient satisfaction with care, and hence, outcomes.
