Abstract

Results of neuropsychological testing of 10 patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in various stages of the disease are shown. Tests for frontal functions and memory were administered. Results of this investigation showed that patients while being mildly demented (MMSE score 23) have low achievements on tests of frontal functions and memory with signs of dysnomia. Such neuropsychological profile is not specific enough for FTD so the diagnostic importance of behavioral changes in the early stage of the disease is stressed.
