The paper describes an accidenlal group poisoning by decay gases in the pit. A group of workers did some works on making a straining pit at the manure coliection location. Four workers went down the pit through a hole on the concrete block when they got immediately poisoned to death by decay gases especially hydrogcn sulfide. In a sample of the air that was breathed in, by using thc gas-fluid chromatography method and mass detector, it was found out that there was moderate presence of ammonia beside a high concentration of hydrogen sulfide.
