The effect of high Cortisol doses upon the antibodies' syntesis is being studied. The experiment makes use of 36 guinea-pigs of male gender, of bodily mass between 300 and 400g; they were not treated with anything; they lived under the usual laboratory conditions and were normally fed. The guinea-pigs are divided into two groups, namely, the control (18) and the experimental (18) ones. All the animals are sensibilized with the BSA albumin. It is concluded that the high Cortisol doses application in the male guinea-pigs causes suppression of the antibodies' synthesis during both the primary and the secondary humoral immune response.
