In the Municipality of Bojnik the overall breast-feeding rate is established. A retrospective analysis of the card file has been applied to observe a sample of 681 babies. It is established that the breast-feeding rate is 66,51%. This percentage of the babies who have been fed for 6 monts and more is greater for 13,5 than in the period from 1992 to 1996. The rezults shw that the consistent acceptance and realization of the WHO/UNICEF initiative for the breast-feeding support has led to an increase of breast-feeding rate.
