Regarding scarce studies about the G immunoglobulin distribution both in the normal and in the tumor tissue of the ovary, the aim of the paper is to examine immuno-exspression of the IgG in benign, "borderline" and malign ovary tumors. The operative material that was first being fixed in 10 formaldehyde, treated in the routine way and molded in paraffin was used. The method that were applied upon the sections of 5 micrometers in thickness were the routine H&E method for pathohistological tumor diagnostis, the mucinohistochemical AB-PAS (pH 2,5) method for verification ofmucinous tumors ofthe ovary and the immunocytochemical SAB technique with anti-IgG antibodies (1:800).
No IgG-immunoreactive
cells were verified in benign cells whik in the "bor-derline" lesions
rare and individual tumor cells contain the IgG but their
immunoreactivity is of poor intensity; sometimes the IgG was only
present in slight traces. The intensive IgG expression was found in
polymorphous, hyperchromium cells of adenocarcinoma; in these cases, the
deposits of this marker were conspicuously prominent in malign tumors
ofpoorer differentiation. Mononucleous inflammatory cells and
macrophages of the stroma of both benign and malign cells also show
intensive immunoreaction to the IgG.
