Introduction:
Diseases of the pulp and periapical tissue, which require endodontic
treatment, are often accompanied by a large tooth crown defect caused by
caries. Regardless of well-performed endodontic treatment,
endodontically treated teeth are prone to fractures. This raises the
issue of tooth restoration after quality endodontic treatment. Crowns
represent dental restorations, made of ceramics or metal-ceramics,
which, in addition to establishing the morphology of the teeth, also
have the function of protecting teeth with a larger crown defect.
Key words: endodontics, endodontically treated teeth, prosthetic restorations, posts
