Treatment of patient with persistent deciduous and erupted permanent canines by using fixed orthodontics appliances

ABSTRACT


The aim of this paper was to describe a treatment of female patient, 13 years of age, with dentoalveolar class II division 1.malocclusion due to persistency of both upper deciduous canines. The treatment was performed by using fixed orthodontics appliances (Ricketts .018’’ prescription) in both jaws, with straight wire technique. The appliances were removed after 15 moths’ treatment, and retention period lasted 12 months.
